ROYALTIES FOR VOTERS $38,000 CASH

A Fair Share for West Australians

Our members and the voters of Western Australia are individuals. They all have their own individual reasons why they want or need $38,000. At present the WA Government is collecting around ten billion dollars from royalties on iron ore. Our simple proposition is to run in the March 2021 WA election on the idea that our members and the voters of Western Australia should each receive $38,000.

A plausible funding for giving our members and the voters of Western Australia $38,000 cash is a $4.50 per tonne royalty on iron ore.

As a general principle we support everyone receiving $38,000 cash with the oldest voters receiving it first on their birthday. A possibility is that during the first four years, voters who were born on or before 10 May 1956 will be the first happy recipients. Our members and voters are entitled to think of what they would do with $38,000 cash. Anyone who does not want $38,000 cash should be allowed to donate it to the Government or to the charity of their choice or to have the money placed in trust until they do want it.
